This site is dedicated to the memory of Alan Greenslade.

This is a tribute to our father Alan Greenslade aged 57, who died from meningococcal septicaemia on 23 January 2010 at the University Hospital of Wales. On Friday 8 january he was having a good night out with friends at his local pub and appeared to be in high spirits and in good health. Less than twenty four hours later he was fighting for his life. He was admitted to hospital on 9 January 2010 by ambulance. His only symptom appeared to be red/brown blotches to his skin on his arms, legs and face. On consultation he was diagnosed with meningococcal septicaemia for which he was treated immediately. He spent two weeks in the critical care unit fighting the disease with expert medical aid from the caring staff at UHW. Unfortunately all efforts come to no avail due to the effects of this devastating disease. He passed away peacefully in hospital with close family members at his bedside. We are extremely sad that he was taken from us too early, as he was one of lifes true characters and is sorely missed by all who loved him. In tribute to him we would like to help the meningitis trust raise funds to continue their fight against this debilitating disease. We Miss you Dad! Love Tristan Adam Zoe and Luke xxxx
